Pastor Chris Keeton has served in the role of Pastor since January 2019.

Pastor Chris felt God's call to the ministry from the age of six, preaching his first sermon at age 15, influenced especially by the godly leadership of his mother, Kathy, and his grandparents, Pastor Bob & Ruby Queen. He fully dedicated his life to focusing on ministry at age 19, and for several years served in various ministerial positions until being named Co-Pastor of the Westwood Church of God in Ashland, KY, serving along side his grandfather, in February 2001. In October 2001, Pastor Chris was named Senior Pastor of that congregation, serving for the next 13 years, until 2014.

He joined us at First Church in 2016 as Associate and Worship Minister. When the pulpit was vacated in January 2019, he was asked to continue serving our congregation in an Interim capacity. In July 2019, the congregation accepted Pastor Chris as the permanent Pastor.

​

Working bi-vocationally during the week, Pastor Chris resides in Ashland, KY. He and his wife, Alison, have two sons, David and Daniel.
